Should i keep trying to hook up with her?

So where do I start? As a shy guy, closed and lonely I never had a girlfriend, nor I was able to talk to a one.
A few weeks ago I met with this awesome, shy as well girl that I was having fun with her. We went one time to the beach and we had an amazing day. After it, even tho it was hard, I had to ask that question. "Do you have a boyFriend?"
Well, she told me no, but she had 8 months ago, and he
Cheated on her, and nows she lost her trust on guys and she isn't emotionally open for relationships..
But the way she talk to me with messages and the way we had fun in the beach sounds like she's into me.
Should I give up?

    Focus on enjoying her company as a good friend and be patient and see where it goes. It sounds as if she likes you but needs more time for it to be anything more than friendship right now.

    Build a good friendship with her and more than likely it'll turn into a serous relationship. Don't rush things. :)
