Should i have quit trying to get it on with her?

I knew this Irish, Catholic girl that used to run around in a group I belonged to. One night, we happened to end up together alone and got into a long conversation. I really liked her personality and found her attractive. In addition, she seemed to be sexually attracted to me and so I began plying her with drinks. This worked perfectly and we ended up in a hotel room ready to finish what we had started.

Suddenly, to my horror, she began to change, possibly because she was sobering up. I couldn't stop and then I heard the most disheartening words in the world: "Please, kinklu, I can't do this. I'm a good catholic girl and it's against my beliefs. If you really are my friend, don't force me."

I had no choice! I wanted to press on, but she really was a
friend, not some slut I had picked up. When she said that she was a good catholic,so pathetically, I had to stop out of respect, so I put her in a cab and sent her home, mumbling to myself and gnashing my teeth, afterwards.

What would you have done? Men, AND WOMEN, please respond.

Let it be. She's not ready.

PLUS ... you openly admitted that you were plying her with drinks to get your way.

If it is meant to be, it'll happen without drugging her into compliance.

In fact ... what you tried to do is borderline rape as it is.

Granted I disagree with the site on some aspects -i don't think the man is "always" the one responsible, especially if both parties are drunk/high

However you already admitted to attempting to get her drunk on purpose so... o well.

talking her into it after she's said no is still rape. and "go for the gold" and "rape her" are pretty much the same answer. Try talking to her again when she's sober if you're really into her

The moral of the story: religion poisons everything, especially sexual enjoyment.

Uhhh just saying, getting someone drunk so that they'll have sex with you is still rape. Leave the poor girl alone, you've done enough already.

That was years ago when I was barely old enough to drink legally, and immature . I have learned to have the greatest respect for women. After all, my own mother was a woman!

How old were you? If you were like 15 or something, then maybe I can understand not knowing any better.

If you were 18 or older.... well, I know some people mature faster than others, but still. You didn't even say whether or not you were drinking, just that you got her drunk so that she would sleep with you.

And sorry, downvote me and all the people telling you otherwise all you want but that is rape. Sounds to me like your own mother should have taught you some respect before you got the chance to traumatize a scared, drunk young girl. It's good that you know better now, but take some responsibility for your actions. That was probably a defining moment in her life, and who knows what it did to her. :/

I was in my early twenties and she was at least as old. I think she had gotten off to an early start and when I met her she was already well on her way. I STARTED to ply her with drinks but I didn't actually buy many before she showed signs of wanting to play.

I always figured that she wanted to do it but was really a sincerely religious girl whose spiritual side finally triumphed over her carnal side as the booze she had imbibed earlier finally wore off.

Also, attitudes were different then. But I readily confess that I was a rogue, so all you women can go ahead and flog me for it. Come to think of it, I might .... ahem!.... like that.

Hmm... how old are you actually? If you don't mind me asking. I'm in my early 20s now and I know better.... but if you're very much older than I am I realise that education about this sort of topic is still a relatively new development. That definitely makes a difference. :/
