Should i go out with this guy?

im like totally stalkerishly (but not really) crazy for this guy!

his entire being just makes me smile.
i cant help but be happy around him.
and when im sad and crying in a corner he is always there for me.
he is a bit awkward.
kinda sensitive.
but i still like him.

im a senior in high school. he is a freshman

personally i dont care about that.

i just know that i want to go out with him but EVERYONE I KNOW is all like "Dont Do It! Senior + Freshman Relationships Never Work!"
i dont think so...

what would you do???

If he makes you happy, go for it. The people youre happy and comfortable around are the ones you need to be with. The guy that is always there now, always will be then. i think you should try it out.

  • just because you're 3/4 years apart, doesn't mean anything. I know a friend whose parents are 12 years apart, and the mom's older. You're not taking it too far. Go for it :)

go for it. It's a possibility it'll be one of your best relationships ever. younger guys try harder to impress you when they really like you, and they usually turn out to be real sweethearts. if he makes you happy why wouldn't you?

Well i cant really say anything cause im a senior and a freshman girl likes me and hopefully we will get together and it'll work out. So why shouldnt it work out for you? Go for it and if you guys truely love each other then it will work out perfectly :)

try being good friends w/o anticipation for more. after all, friendship is the foundation for 'more than friends'. bear in mind, that this could be hard bcuz you're way more mature than him; on top of that, girls mature faster than boys anyway. I know bcuz i've dated someone younger thane b4 and it ended up being really annoying sometimes. at times I felt moe like a mom than a gf!! what about next year when ur in college (assuminf ur going) if it turns out to be a long distance relationship while you're around so man different new guys in such a new environment, the odds are very close to zero, realisticly. i'm not saying it's impossible, but really the odds are stacked against you!

Yeah, it may not work out, but I say go with it. Why kill the potential relationship before it starts? You obviously like him, and though I can't really see into his head, but I'm guessing, if he doesn't like you already, he'll definitely give you a chance.

      • Wow, I'm surprised how many people said to do it. I think when you're older like 24 and he's 20 yeah, okay, but 14?! Might as well date a 10 y.o.

I know, it's weird when you're younger, right O_o, but when you're older- 30-34, it doesn't really matter... Just when you're young is when it gets weird O_o... like 13 and a 9 year old O_e

DO IT!! Luckily you're still under 18. I was just talking to this guy yesterday who is a Freshman in college (18-19) and his fiance is a sophomore (19-20) I don't know the exact age, but 1 1/2 to 2 years is not big :P.
