Should i feel bad

recently I asked out the ex of a friend/acquaintance of mine right after they broke up. I felt kinda bad about doing this but I thought I saw a long term relationship with this girl (I was horrifically mistaken). In any event I figured he would be angry and quit talking to me but I excepted that, but I still feel bad, though I'm wondering if I should feel upset since My friend and my father say I shouldn't

My Dad says I don't owe anyone anything and thus it shouldn't matter and my friend says I shouldn't feel bed because he says I did nothing wrong. My friend says they were already broken up, and all i did was make an offer, he says that me or the guy feeling upset about this is foolish and illogical.

Should I feel bad about my actions?

Look at it this way,if you were in a long term relationship with your gf,shit happened you parted ways then less than a week later you see your friend with her walking down the street arm in arm looking very much in love,...how would you feel. Dont be a cunt mate, respect the bro-code .

At the risk of getting downvoted, I'd say yes. If you can find the acquaintance, you should apologize to him. Asking out a friend's ex is one thing, but doing it directly after they break up is pretty crude.

However, I couldn't tell from your post if the Friend you mentioned in the first paragraph and the Friend mentioned in the second paragraph were the same person. If the guy with the Ex doesn't have a problem with it, there's no reason you should.

    • my apologies I should've clarified better, the friend with the ex and the one that said I did nothing wrong are 2 different people.

And I went tot he one with the ex afterwards and offered him a chance to hit me, he declined.

So, you apologized to him already? Sounds like it's all resolved, then. No use beating yourself up over it, move on with your life.
