Should i eat more?

i don't eat a whole lot. i excercise frequently (depending on my day) and i am just fine only eating one meal a day.
i dont get hungry very often and when i do eat i dont eat very much. i only eat when im hungry and stop when im full. i dont succumb to craveings so i dont know if this is normal or not. i dont think im some unknown annorexic, but you never know.

    You should eat more often. Eating lots of food. eat as much as you can. Eat for the sake of eating & the joy of food.

    Your screwing up your metabolism, your body is getting used to only getting food once a day so it will naturally slow down, try eating in the morning, a protein shake if need be and then try eating lunch and dinner even if they small portions. With slow metabolism you body will try store fat as it thinks your in famine mode, you may end up getting fat from eating so infrequently.... Sounds odd but possible

    Doesn't matter if you're fit or not. You're not living a unhealthy diet. You're suppose to be eating 3 meals a day, breakfast being your biggest. You my feel healthy now but your going to feel it in the long run.

      @i671
      Your metabolism is usually more prominent when you're sleeping, breakfast should be your smallest meal, second largest being dinner, then largest lunch. You use energy to sleep, approx 220kJ/hour for an average teenager of age 15-19. +/-50 for men/women.

      @regane
      Your body burns fats as well as proteins, excess carbohydrates are stored, in the short term not as fats but . This shouldn't have an impact on overall body fat.

      @OP
      Generally you should stick to a diet that provides you with all essential vitamins and other nutrients, your exercise only attributes metabolism rate. Try to eat something before sleep, this also helps with feeling fuller when you hit breakfast.

    I guess as long as you're considered healthy by your Dr. I would just wonder if you're getting all of your nutrients?

    You're healthy, but not normal for an American (if you're from here).
