Hello,
If your Irish you most likely know about the Brazen head; the oldest pub in Dublin. If you do, great. If you don't, great. Anyway, I was there last night for a drink with my boyfriend; Tommy.
Half way through two drunk shites got into a feckin' fight and beat each other up. Tommy who is always trying to keep the peace tried to break them up. One man looked at me, pointed to me and said '' your wench is going to get killed if you don't shut up you giant eejit.'' Tommy is about 6'0 and is intimidating but this lad wasn't taking any shite. Tommy threatened to deck the man in the jaw but I stopped him from doing so and we went home. I love Tommy but if he keeps getting into business that isn't his own, I'm afraid he might do something in the that might not seem big in the moment but later on might cause something that I/we can't take back. What should I say/ do?

    Tommy's motives seem noble, but I have to question his intelligence. No sensible person willingly gets involved in fight between drunken strangers.

    I suppose I might take action if it looked like someone was actually going to be killed or badly injured, but I'd weigh the potential for me getting seriously hurt very carefully.
