Should i confront my doctor?

I recently found out that I was sexually abused as a child by a relative. My previous doctor, who was a pediatrician, comes into the equation not because I believe that she abused me but because I am wondering if she ever suspected something was wrong. I vaguely remember her asking me in privacy if something may have happened to me. I either 1. didn't understand what she was trying to convey to me or 2. I might have know but for whatever reason I didn't tell her. I have been thinking about calling her up and asking if we can either talk in her office or somewhere else about my concerns. I have also wondered if any of the nurses who worked with me might have noticed something "off" too.

I'm in such a complicated situation right now because what happened...

What is your take on this?

I believe the term you are looking for is consult not confront. I believe confront in this story would imply she was the one who raped you. Yes though I think you should probobly ask her about her see what she knows.

Sure, if you feel comfortable confusing in her. You should definitely consider a therapist/counselor though. They ought to know how to help you overcome such a thing.
