Should i confess to my crush? even in this situation?

Okay so long story short. I fell in love with a guy from Italy (exhange student) We went to see a movie already and yesterday we saw a hockey game. It wasn't really a date though... i mean there was another friend of mine coming too. But I was talking to him all the time and I swear I feel like we really get along, I'm so in love with this guy you have no idea.

However, he's going back to Italy soon. It's hard to tell if he really likes me. He's always friendly etc and honestly i'm not holding my breath. Now my question is, do you think I should confess my feelings for him before he leaves? To get this of my chest and to move on? And even if i'd do it, how should i say this to him? :/ I was thinking of sending him a message.

    I've met several Italian guys while on vacations in Italy and they are not hard to win over! Italian guys are passionate! Meet him alone and don't bring your friend along and just talk to him. Don't need to tell him you're in love, just tell him you really like him.
