Last weekend, i was with this Pro and as we were having a conversation i asked why did she get into this business . She said that her brother is studying in NIT so she needed money. I felt really bad for her and paid her 6 times than she asked for. Should have i believed her or am i an idiot to have done this?

    I'd vote for idiot. I don't believe I've ever met a hooker who told the truth to her Johns. Outside of work, perhaps, but when working, most put on a false facade and play a part.

    deshikd makes a good point. I've never encountered one but a buddy of mine once told me about his trip to germany, which included a visit to a red light district. he went to this really attractive early twenties girl who said something similar... that she joined the profession to save up and go to college.

    legit or not, it's a smart thing to say for more reasons than one.
