I like taking my shirt off on sunny days, but really only at the beach or near water, I feel shy about taking it off anywhere in public where someone could make comments
Curtiousy says you should wear a shirt in public unless you are A.in your house B.swimming or C.Changing in the locker room. Otherwise its considered rude to just walk around town all day shirtless.
I feel the same way. I always wear a water shirt at the beach. Mainly to cover up the scars on my arm, though... >.>;
It's normal for you to feel shy about it. You just gotta get out of your shell once in awhile (or in your case, your shirt). :)
Maybe you should try taking small steps. Work in your front yard without your shirt on. Like, mowing the lawn, washing your car, taking the trash out. Then slowly work your way up from there. Take a short walk/walk your dog around your neighborhood shirtless, and so on.
You gotta remember though, there will be people who will say things that you may not like. Don't let them stop you from taking your shirt off though.
