Should i ask my teacher out? (i'm a girl)

I'm a 27 years old girl and I'm currently taking a course on visual effects. In the last 3 classes we've been with a new teacher, and from the first time I saw him I knew something like this was going to happen, we had a little chit chat on a coffee break (the first class he made) and it was amazing!, I feel we had a connection and that we could really get along not only as a couple but also as only friends.
I've noticed that during his class he is most of the time looking at me, even like he is explaining it to me only. I don't know his age but I think he may be 32 or something.

As you can see obviously nothing had happened bewtween us as we barely know each other as teacher-student, but I checked him on Facebook (psychooo... I know) and he is single.

Everytime I ask him a question he gets close to my place to answer and he smiles to me a lot, and I've noticed that he is not that way with anyone else on the class, even other girls.

On the other hand, I've been single for 3 years (although I've had many relationships and romances before) and I've even not had sex in almost 2 years, so I KNOW I'm very vulerable and it's easy for me to have a crush on anyone but trust me, this is the first time in 2 years that I feel this way about anyone, my heart was totally asleep (I could even say in a coma LOL).

Should I make a move? like adding him to Facebook? or asking him out? Is that weird? I can't stop thinking about him and we've only chatted that one time!! This is weird even for me... but very very intense.

(I would appreciate men's opinion on this matter a lot too.)

    Alright given the age I do not see a moral issue with it but its very unprofessional and would be considered favouritism. So he might get fired if he does pursue it. Secondly I will say that this might just be him doing his job being a teacher not that he is actually interested in you. Third if you did ask right now and he shot you down I believe that would make class pretty awkward. Shuggy suggested you wait till you are no longer his student which I think is a good idea though waiting to long he might no longer be available but he might lose his job as a teacher. So if you want to pursue its completely up to you but should consider the points listed above when you make the decision. Hope this helped.
