    It wouldn't have worked. The Americans would have cut supply lines from somewhere else.

    You attribute the man who wouldn't listen to his very, very smart generals and started a war on two fronts with intelligence? There was no way in hell Germany could have won the war with that idiot as it's leader.
    Japan had a better chance of invading the US west coast than Germany had of successfully invading England.

    well i suppose if he had bothered himself it wouldnt have been a problem for the germans.The english were shittin themselves untill the americans saved their ass.England on its own could have been dealt with anytime but invading russia screwed things up

      Anytime? They had the time to invade the United Kingdom before 1941 when the Soviet Union signed the non aggression pact with Germany in 1939.

      The Luftwaffe tried countless time to rid the skies above the United Kingdom of the RAF but couldn't. Hitler only called off the Battle of Britain when he realised the RAF were superior ironically not due to their hardware but the skills of their pilots.

      My Grandfather who fought the British once muttered to me the British pilots are like birds in the skies and exhibited skills he grown to respect.

    I don't think that would've worked, though they did a pretty good assault by dropping bombs on their cities. The British government could have retreated to the countryside, where there were no bombings, and ruled from there. If Hitler wanted to take over England, he should've also attacked the countryside! If I'm remembering correctly, the Nazis had submarine fleets in the waters near England. I think many of them ended up being destroyed before fulfilling their purpose. He could've had them do a surprise take over/attack, while everyone else was distracted by the aerial assault.

    Regardless of what tactic they could've utilised, If the Nazi's had tried to take over England, they would've had to deal with America.

    I highly doubt that - Look at the nations Hitler invaded - his armies ransacked the gold reserves and resources of the occupied areas for the sole purpose of satisfying his war machine.

    The United Kingdom would of been Germany's Lemonade stand, except you don't get shit for squeezing the lemons.
