Should 'genderless' people be called it?

The question says it all. Whether you like it or not, he and she are strictly gender based pronouns, and replacing them with they or them is grammatically incorrect due to their state of being plural.
And then there's the grammatically correct singular gender-free pronoun, it. It makes perfect sense to be called that if you think you don't have a gender.

Why would we need genderless based pronouns, since there are no genderless people? Hell, there are very few genderless living things on THIS planet, period.

Calling someone "it" is wrong, not only that it is just plain out mean it also shows you have no respect for them as a person or a human being.

They is not grammatically incorrect. Think about referring to one person whose gender is either unknown or wished to be kept unknown. (my example comes from working as a cashier, as I try to avoid referencing specific aspects of people when referring to them).
I had a customer come to my lane to pay, but they realised they forgot their wallet so they left.
    The word they works fine.

    • 'Where is George?'
      'They is over there'
'Did they (George) hear about the crisis?'
'I don't think they has heard yet'

        'Where is George?'
        'They're over there'
'Did they hear about the crisis?'
        'I don't think they've heard yet'

        ???? how is this confusing????

        • It's grammatically incorrect, and it implies that the conversation is now on the subject of two or more people when we're still talking about George.

  • I think it's as simple as:

She/her: Addressing someone who has a vagina; female.

He/him: Addressing someone who has a penis; male.

I don't get this "Call me a she" when they have a penis...It's like, why? You might prefer to be refered to someone with a vagina but you've got a penis. Live as a woman or man all you want but you're asking me to lie to you.

It's like being a fireman and asking to be refered to as a police officer. Sure, you might wanna be a police officer and plan to be but you're not, you've got the firefighter suit on.

I've always wondered what you would call someone of an ambiguous gender instead of Sir/Ma'am.

Never call someone 'it'. It is dehumanizing. Please use their preferred pronouns.
