Shit i don't like - electrical plug switch on, nothing in the socket.

This drives my OCD bloody crazy.

If I see an electrical switch left on, with nothing plugged into the socket it is attached to, I will actually drop what I'm doing and cross the room to turn it off.

I've been laughed at and stared at blankly like I'm some mythical creature when I do it, but I don't care. It just bothers me to no end when I see it.

        On the plate.

Everyone I've mentioned this to has thought it was weird, so I assumed that it just wasn't done there.

Is it weird if I say your power outlets look a lot cooler than the ones I have?

We're told that switching them off does save power. I have no idea if this is in fact true, but our government made a big thing of giving us free power switch auto turner offer things for TVs and computers.

You're not alone Mel. I was looking at the US sockets with bewilderment wondering why are there no switches on their outlets.

Don't get me started on their toilets.... jeez...

            They. Are. Fucking. HUGE.

I don't remember anything about NZ toilets, so I assume they're like here, or I would have noticed.
