Shedding a lot of hair in shower

Whenever I wash my hair in the shower, I end up shedding a lot and i collect it on the wall so it doesnt clog in the drain. My hair is as short as shoulder length and when i gather all the hair in a ball, its usually around the size of a moth ball I'd say. So I'm wondering is this normal? Does anyone else shed a lot like that in the shower? Also I don't wash my hair everyday, I wash it like every other couple of days.

    I don't think that's normal. I just don't. I don't shed hair. But I'm not an expert.

probably you're only washing your HAIR instead of your HAIR ROOT. you have to wash your HAIR ROOT.

    SHAMPPO ARE FOR HAIR ROOT.
    CONDITIONERS ARE FOR HAIR.

i have the same issue as you. you just have to scrub further and make sure not only you wash your hair but also hair root.

Happens to me all the time. If you're worried about it though, I would say see a doctor.

We lose about 100 hairs a day and if you aren't washing everyday then a lot of those loose hairs remain on your head and come out all at once when shampooing. Normal unless you are noticing bald spots.

Brush your hair before you get in the shower. It cuts down on the in shower shedding. I have really long thick hair.

Had the same issue when my hair was over a foot long (I'm a guy who grew and cut my hair for cancer btw). I hunk it may have had something to do with scalp damage

Yep I am the same as you. Try using a non sulfate shampoo and no brushing wet hair, and use a leave in conditioner spray after every shower. And occluded condition and weekly hair masks. Bur I think it's normal or you don't get enough nutrients.
