She made up these lies?
This happened when I was younger, about 15. I'm just asking now because I've only recently found this site and I'm curious.
I had two close friends in high school, (We'll call them Freya and Meg.) and we hung out a lot and got only well. Me and Meg never had boyfriends and Freya always had one on the go, (note they're a year older than me) I didn't mind it, it was a choice for me. Meg however seemed to resent Freya a bit for being so popular with boys, Meg was less pretty, I'm not going to lie, but not ugly. And she seemed to blame it on me and Freya (I'd been approached before).
The story is, Freya found a serious boyfriend who she'd met on holiday, and he lived far away. They'd been together about 5 months before she asked him to come and stay with her for a weekend. he was slightly older (nearly 19) but they never did anything as her dad was always hanging around them. Meg got wind of this, and once when I came round to her house, our mothers got talking. When I was picked up, my mum asked "What's this about Freya?" I asked what she was talking about and apparently Meg had told her mum that Freya had a 22 year old boyfriend, who'd been moved into her house and was having sex with her. I told her it wasn't true, but Meg's mum went and reported it. Freya denied it, (she wasn't told it was Meg who said it) and when I confronted Meg about the lies she denied making them up even though Freya got in serious trouble.
I know teenage girls make up extreme lies out of jealousy, is it normal for them to be THIS extreme though?
