Sexual preference tends to change

I love guys, girls and all that's in between. I just consider myself bi to keep things simple. An interesting thing that I've noticed is that who I'm attracted to (in terms of gender) changes every now and then. For example, I'll only get turned on by men for a while and then it'll change to women etc. Anyone else experience something similar?

I remember my married human sexuality professor in college saying that there were certain times where she just "really craved a woman". Lol..normal.

Mine used to swing like that, but now its stabilized to the point where I can be attracted to both at the same time most of the time. I'm more attracted to girls but I feel more confident as a lover when considering my own sex.

"...but I feel more confident as a lover when considering my own sex."

I'm the same way. It's quite understandable why - if you know yourself well, then that's only natural.

In terms of attraction, I also find that it's definitely much more mental than physical. Sure I appreciate appearances, but it only goes so far with me. If a person's mind appeals to me, then that's pretty much it; I don't need much else. That's why I always think that the most important thing is to have a sexy brain haha. Well, for me at least. It has the potential to the biggest turn on or turn off. However, I'm sure that it's the same way for many other people...but dammit, it's frustrating that it gives me so much grief with my friend (who would not be interested in a million years since - you guessed it - she's quite the heterosexual.)

I sometimes wish that everyone was bisexual. That would make things so much easier.

No, I think its normal for gay/bi people to feel like that. I know they are very promiscuous. They will get freaky deaky with anything that stirs their loins.

Oh okay, thanks :) I just thought it was an interesting observation. It's not negatively affecting anything, so that's fine.

  • Not me, but you identified yourself as bi. And there it is.

I am not a bisexual but I imagine that would be normal if you are. One of my best friends is and she sometimes is more attracted to women than men. And vice versa. As long as it isnt negatively affecting yourself or anyone else I wouldn't worry too much about it.
