Hello my name is Jimmy. I am getting married and am thinking of the perfect date. I have had a few dates in mind, but September 11th just seems to fit most everyone's schedule perfectly. Is it weird/disrespectful to go ahead with this plan?

    Agreed with Randomjelly just go for it :-) My best friends birthday is on September 11 and we are going out, it's not like we are celebrating the deaths of 5000 people, we are celebrating his birth.

    9/11 is my bday and the reason I joined the army. Not to mention I'm from NYC. Get married whenever you want!

    You might get a discount at the venue for dates that they are unlikely to otherwise be booked e.g. 9/11 or Friday 13th. If you can get a discount then it's not only normal, but smart! :P
