Sensitivity?

So I used to be a total hard ass and nothing could bring a tear to my eye.
After dating my boyfriend for 5months (having lost my virginity and my heart to him) and I used to drink a bit a week too. But that was before he asked me to stop.
So one night I had a dream that he was smoking even though I knew he didn't. You see, I asked him multiple times if he smoked because I tasted it and such, and he always said no. Then out friend would smoke and he would go on about how gross and disgusting it is. Well after having the dream, I asked him the next morning. He said he does smoke and after further questioning he said he started smoking a bit after we started dating. He did it at least once a day. Having come from a family of smokers and dead relatives due to lung cancer, I was disgusted and furious that he would do that behind my back. And all the lying. Well anyways we got over it.

However it being 2 months later and it seems that the slightest thing will set me off. He could just be tickling me and I'll make fun of him and he'll tell me to shut up and I'll just instantly be quiet and tears will spring to my eyes. He gets so upset when this happens because were only joking but I can't control it. I don't understand why I'm like this.

is it normal to be so sensitive??

My bf did the exact same thing and let him off the hook. My trust issues didn't go away and it became a problem. Sit and have a talk. Lying is not good in a relationship

I was shocked when I learned my wife smoked. That was the least of the sneaking and the lies. When I discovered all of the emails to a male friend... well... let's just say she is now my ex-wife.

I don't know if a person can be too sensitive. How much better would the world be if more people were too sensitive... Not only about their own feelings, but for the feelings of others as well?
