    Probably not. I always wonder if it's a kind of psychological illness that goes untreated because the symptoms are benign.

    i do too, kind of.

    but it depresses me.
    i do care about myself, and some people don't seem to care about me as a friend at all, but i'd really die for them :o

    I did this for many many years until I realised the same people would do nothing for me if I needed help. At some point you have to grow up.

    I think this may come from your upbringing if you were browbeaten or part of a large family. Love thy neighbour AS thyself - not more or less.

    Look after yourself first or you can be of no use to everyone else.
