Self conscious buying value range?

I can't help but feel like people are judging me whenever I buy a lot of supermarket own value brand food, towards the end of every month money's short and I end up buying a basket of value food and I always hate doing it, recently I've been strangely addicted to fresh white bread but wanted some chocolate too, so I went to the store picked up a loaf from the bakery then picked up 3 100g bars of value chocolate for 30p each to horde away and I felt incredibly self conscious walking around with the three bars and paying for them,

Anyone else has this?

Sounds fine to me. I buy store brand stuff at the grocery all the time. Occasionally, an value item sucks and I go back to buying the premium brand of that item, but for the most part the value stuff seems pretty much the same and a ton cheaper.

Advertising has convinced you that people judge you positively for buying their brands. This is not true. Intelligent people buy generic brands; dumb people are duped by advertising.

If someone says something just be like "You want to buy it for me? No? K then let me spend my own money, BITCH!" (the bitch is optional)

Are you sure? I'll buy day old bakery products cus they are usually 50% off. I'll go to the back corner where the dented cans are cus they are discounted. I usully don't buy any thing unless its on sale and if I have coupons I'm extra happy. I buy certain foods at the dollar store. I have rescued delicious overripe bananas from the garbage sevreal times. Almost everything I own is secondhand. I love bulk garbage days. I make some pretty scores from other people's throwaways.

Also I time my shops on a strict schedule, at my local supermarket once they bake some fresh bread it will have 3 days until they take them down and bake more, so every time I go down on the third day half an hour before the store closes so I can get two loaves of bread for the price i would normally pay,
Also there's nothing wrong with a little dumpster diving and eating food you come across, in fact if you didn't eat the bread I leave out I'd be dissapointed

My question is why you don't buy the bargain brands all the time? Quite often it is exactly the same product, just branded (packaged) differently.
Think of all the money you could save.
I would think you'd be proud to be a smart shopper, rather than one of the sheep who buys the more expensive products, just because you saw it advertised on TV or where ever.

dont just jump on the value brand they place it near more expensive premium products so you think its the cheapest while something much cheaper is hiding a few shelves down

It's nothing to be worried about, OP. Half of the foods I purchase are store brand foods. It's the same stuff as the more expensive brands, but it's costs less. Though sometimes they do taste different from the better brands and depending on what store brand it is, it is noticeably lower quality, but as long as it tastes good, I'll keep buying it to save cash.

They usually arent the same foods. In my experience, you get what you pay for. I cant eat corn and all the generic off brand foods are loaded with corn and other preservatives you cant pronounce. Take ice cream as an example. The ones with three ingredients are expensive while the off brand generic have about 10 ingredients.

You shouldn't feel self conscious at all. It's none of other people's business what you buy at the supermarket. They aren't noticing you or what your doing, they don't judge you at all nor even think about you, it's just you on a paranoid state.

Now I want you to consume chocolate moderately. One bar is sufficient for one week with appropriate diet and exercise.
