Seating preference - couples!

I've been observing couples while they have a meal together and noticed each have their seating preferences. Some sit next to each other and the man puts his arm around the woman, others like to hold hands while looking into each other's eyes. Some sit apart and look in opposite directions barely speaking to one another, depending on the stage which the relationship is at, etc.

When you are part of a couple, what is your preferred seating arrangement on a rectangular table for four people but only the two of you are dining? Why?

Personally, I like to sit facing my partner, preferably on the same seat.

Side by side 17

i like being next to my baby so i can easily sneak in a kiss and hold his hand or touch him leg while were eating, plus he always likes to tickle me and thatd be hard from so far away xD

I'm yet to be in this situation, but I think I'd prefer to sit face-to-face. If we sat side by side, I'd constantly have to turned my body to view and it's not very personal. By siting face-to-face, the uncomfortablity is thrown out the window. It's personal and intimate. The only problem I can think of is bad breath...

I tried that at burger king. It didn't work out so well.

I can't imagine why in the world not! Especially there, where you can always fall back on wearing the king's new clothes. Unless you weren't wearing the crown...

They didn't want your pecker poking their expired condiments.
