This sounds weird but i think sea monsters are real. I don't like deep water and lakes because of them. I will always think the Loch Monster is real.
I've been dropped into the middle of a lake before and felt very, very frightened. The thaught of not knowing what is under me terrifies me and the aspect of a sea monster is always in the back of my mind.
Yes, because they're real. They're some creatures that were once thought extinct like the Relicanth, but there's proof that they still live. I saw one at the beach once, but it was dead and everyone in my group attacked it and beat it to a pulp. They refused to believe me when I told them the truth. Not all of the planets water has been explored who knows what could be waiting to be discovered?
I am terrified as much as you (from the deep water and the unknown beneath it), but I don't believe in monsters, this is just silly. :)

The loch ness monster is real, but it is actually a small group of dinosaurs that didn't undergo much evolution. There was a special on it once on the Discovery Channel.
Well since I'm British I've been to Scotland but no sight of any monsters so you are a bloody lyer

My dad used to work for search and rescue scuba team. He has told me many stories about things he has seen and found while working in the lakes and ocean when we lived on the gulf. I refuse to swim in a lake now because of it. I am fine with pools and very shallow clear rivers. Lol.
Youre not alone. Although the things that scare me may not be physically characteristic of the monsters you speak f, they are of monstrous nature in my mind. Although, I do believe Nessie to be real, just not around here in the US (presumably you live in US too?). So i am halfway with you on that one.
