Is it normal to scream in your sleep I ask you, I am a 19 year old male. It happens rarely, I didn't pay much attention to it due to it rarely happening but why does it happen?
my wifes nephew and his wife stayed with us during deer season, our cat jumped on the shutters and scared the nephew, he sat up in bed screaming. I've never laughed so hard in my life. His wife was sitting there trying to calm him down...pussy...I mean kitty!
I used to scream all the time years ago. I felt my life was out of control. I would wake up everyone in the house. I don't do it anymore. Things got better.
I never screamed in my sleep before. Are you sure you don't have some kind of sleep disorder?
i am 19 as well female tho but i use to do that almost every nite i was in foster care and well my foster sisters got a kick out of it also i would always get leg cramps and wake up crying from the pain it just stopped happening idk why

You have a nightmare that's so horrifying you scream. You may or may not wake when you scream and you may or may not remember having had a night terror.
I had one once. I remembered the dream too. It honestly WAS terrifying and even in memory it feels like it was real.
dunno but it did happen to me once recently a week ago.
I was having this weird dream, and suddenly just woke up screaming.
I can't remember what I was dreaming about, but it's like I screamed to get out of the dream and I woke up screaming.
As soon as I got up, I just ran straight to the living room, wonder WTF just happened and what did I just dream:/
One time I was having a nightmare and screamed out loud as I woke up, scaring mt sister in the other room. People do weird things in their sleep, I don't know why screaming would be any different.
