School is a big waste of time and money ?

when ever i go to school/college i just dont want to learn anymore, i just feel like im wasting my time and daydream the day away not focusing any attention at any tasks at hand, it feels like the only way i find my self going to school anymore is if im not sober, it seems like even then i atleast have a good reason not to pay attention !!!

I think that most people believe that school is a waste of time. I would finish, because you don't know what you want to do, and you might change your mind mid-life about what you really want to do.

My mom, for exmample was in accounting all of her life. One day, about 5 years ago, she came and said that the numbers started hurting her brain, and that she wanted to sing. She had done it in middle school, but never really finished. She went to college and is getting her masters in Music, and is teaching middle school chorus.

  • I don't believe it's a waste of time, it's preparing you for the real world, the future. Times are how they used to be, where you'd drop out and make a decent living. You need to be competant, do the best you can. It's what you make of it though, it's your future. It's your choice.

I really didn't enjoy school, and I dropped out after studying my A levels, and went into further education involving a more "hands on" course, which you might want to take into consideration, something like a team building course, or an apprenticeship.

I studied an advanced diploma in public studies, I got to work with lots of new people and it was a really fun course, it also opened up so many doors for me after I finished it.

    Just my 2 cents

  • I felt the same way when I was going to school. I felt like I had no motivation to go to class, and didn't want to be there. I dropped out after three years. Now, I'm living on my own, have a full time job, and I've never been happier. :-)
