Schizophrenia question

Has anyone with schizophrenia ever listened to the voices and end up having what they told you be true. I know someone who suffers from it and they told me that the deep voice said to him "The phone is going to ring, DON'T answer it." and then the phone rang so he was scared to answer. But now he thinks he's psychic.

Anyways, no disrespect on people who suffer from this disorder. I'm just wondering if that's like a normal thing during you're episodes or not.. Like do what the voices say end up actually happening or coming true?

  • Schizophrenia is over active extra sensory perception that can drive someone mad becuase it makes the brain signals go haywire and nobody understands what it going on with the person.

Yes, but I am not allowed to tell you why. No, I'm not schizophrenic, but I know things I shouldn't from dealing with things that no one should ever have to deal with. Keep that person in your life, by the way. There's a lot more to schizophrenia than most people know.

I have schizophrenia and that has never occurred to me. My voices tend to say random things, as if it's just half of a conversation.

OP, if that happens it's chance and it's intuition that we all have, but maybe it just stuck out in their mind and had greater weight to them coz they were having an episode.

I have schizophrenia taking meds for it already. And it seems like I implant thoughts into others. I hear/think a simple phrase like "what's for dinner?" And my siblings end up asking it within a minute later. And my visual hallucinations, usually at night in my bed I can move my hands around and manipulate what I see. Schizophrenia can literally be controlled you just gotta be idk just gotta be good haha.

You don't implant thoughts for others, you're just wondering what is for dinner - it's a question that gets asked a lot in a household, and people ask it at similar times e.g. Late afternoon, or early evening. If you were you thinking "hmm, If an electron is travelling through space and constantly emitting an electric field in all directions, how does it regenerate its electric charge?" And then someone else said that minutes later in your home (I'm assuming they aren't physicists, but if they are then this perhaps isn't a good example) then in actual fact it would be even more concerning as it would mean you were hallucinating. Coincidences happen to us all the time. I know when I get a private message here who it's from usually before checking - it's just intuition. But maybe you know that?
