Ha, I'm the same. I get undressed by the bed and straight away I'm wondering what is waiting to grab me. I literally take a jump onto my bed and I not only make sure nothings hanging out of the bed but I also tuck the cover under my feet so that if something happens to try to get to my feet from under the bed, my feet are protected and inaccessible!
I didn't let any body parts hang off the bed until I was in high school and I know exactly why. When I was little I saw the movie Critters and the scene where the thing hatches out of it's egg under some kids bed and then gets stepped on by the kids dad whilst staring hungrily at the kids foot HANGING OVER THE EDGE OF THE BED scared the hell out of me and stuck with me for a very long time. I'm sure the movie is horribly hilarious now though ;P
I have almost the same fear, except it doesn't matter what time it is. I'm a grown ass 23 year old EMT too. I don't think its wierd. I'm afraid something will pull me from under my bed. Different yes, weird no.
Well in my opinion that depends on how old you are lol Just remember ALL fears can be overcome. I say face that fear and test yourself, hang your feet off the end of the bed as long as you dare each night and repeat the progress until you can fall to sleep like that. I believe in you :) you can do it :)
Are you scared that something lives under your bed?
I sleep with one leg hanging off the edge some times.
Not normal!
I don't think its normal but I have this fear too. Its not even just the bed but a dark room on the couch too if my feet and hands are off Im freaked out. I have no problem with this if the lights are on but off I its almost like resisting ocd...maybe it is ocd idk but I'm 22 married with a child and after a scary movie my feeling intensifys its sad really.
not to that extent but i can get were your coming from as i carnt watch scary movies without a cover and when im in the cover i carnt have my feet hanging out.. yeah i think ur a tad fuckd
