Save for pension or blow out! iin?

I'm now 32 years old. All my life I have been great saver and have easily saved up to £20,000 each year. Rather than putting these saving into pensions or saving bonds or whatever I have always blown the money on massive and exciting trips to foreign places. I have been to all 7 continents. I have climbed some of the worlds highest peaks. I have seen all the major wonders and sights of the world but am always looking for more interesting things. I have cycled more than 20,000 miles across 4 continents to quench my hunger for adventure.
I wonder though. In the current financial state of the world should I slow down my extravagant travels and start saving this money for the future?

Please tell me if it is normal to save money or should I continue to blow out each year and be happy to properly live life the way is should be lived - outside and wild?

Enjoy it bro, save a little in-case you get into trouble at some point along the road, but I would personally visit the world and enjoy life, not save it till your older.

Do you live in a "rich" country. If you do enjoy all your money (that's fine). I mean; here in the states, it's really hard to starve in the first place!

I retired at 46 but I have a government pension so I am secure in the knowledge that I do have an income.
However, I have also ensured I have good savings in case anything goes wrong and I will still have an income if the pension is taken away at some future date.

That said when younger I spent a lot of time travelling the world until the age of 28 when Iknuckled down got a secure job and saved. I still enjoyed my life but always saved at least 15% of my income every week.

Believe you me having financial security is extremely import as one ages and I know of many who wish they did have assets now instead of squandering them living the high life when younger. It would be awful in later years having to watch every cent you spend as many I know now do.

I think you should enjoy life because there will probably come a time when you can't do all these things anymore, enjoy it whilst you can and save later, or save a small amount each time
