My friends mother has died recently and she's asked me to phone her tomorrow to talk about it and nothing is going to make her feel better obviously but what's the best thing to say in these circumstances?
Why does such things have to happen to good people, her mother was lovely and was very close to her daughter.
Just call her and let her know that your there for her. thats what good friend do.
you must be a very good friend, cause your heart is in the right place. my mother recently passed away 2 months ago so i kind of know what shes going through. its realy horrible and i still am in denial that shes not here. im in high school right now and im kind of anti socal i dont have many friends because i feel so different from evey one else around me, but if i did i would be glad if they really suported me now and helped me get through these days more than ever, but then again every one handels the loss of a loved one differently. hang in there with her and have lots of patience, good luck!
I do agree with the one above. Everything happens for a reason we might not know what. I think death is the hardest subject ever. We are not properly prepared for it yet.
Its just life, u know? i'm sorry your friend's mom died. Everything happens for a reason, though, and it's unfortunate, but everyone has to die some day.

A. He get's run over by a jewish driven car
B. He steps on a used needle in a dark alley hiding from the cops in contracts AIDS and later dies because of it.
C. He misses the needle in situation (b) is thrown in jail turns into the wife of a friendly Ayran while in jail from this contracts AIDS is released from prison and promptly is a victim in situation (A)

call and tell her you dont have time to talk.....tell her YOUR mom got sick and had to be rushed to the hospital.That should deflect your responsibility for a while.Meanwhile your friend begins to get over the death and you dont have to worry so much over what to say.Yeah I know..Ive got a knack for stuff like this.
It is hard to know what to say in these circumstances and your always be careful not to say the wrong thing. Let her do most of the talking and bring some other topics into the conversation to take her mind of it
