Running through fire.

During a country run, we came across an area of burning grass and bushes.
Rather than turn back, we rolled our shorts up and ran through it.
We both had tough boots on, my shorts were cut-off Levi's and Jane's were leather.
Would anyone else have considered that as normal behaviour.

No. Running in leather shorts is not normal.

Kate Moss runs in leather shorts, so why cant Jane?

Of course she can if she wants to, but something breathable would be more suited to the activity. Also, people who run regularly generally don't wear boots while doing it.

We tend to jog, more than run. The area is very rough, with brambles, rocks and even broken glass. hence we tend to wear Mustang or Timberland boots.

Most people either call the fire department or try to put out the fire.

So I guess its not normal to run through it instead. But totally normal to be irresponsible. Congrats.

Would you have stamped it out if you were wearing shorts. Perhaps next time we go running we will wear jeans.

  • Quite normal for bad-ass motherfuckers like yourself. (I'm assuming you're a bad-ass motherfucker.)

It would appear that the speed at which you traveled at, brought along a great gust of wind, that protected you from the burning plains.
