Roommate won't flush toilet.

Hello, I'm a first year university student. I live in an apartment just off-campus and have three roommates, one of which I share a bathroom with. Said roommate was just fine the first semester but lately hasn't been flusing the toilet after doing her business...

It's disheartening to flush someone else's mess. Sometimes she'll flush and it'll be okay for a week or two and then - bam! Hits me again.

What's going on?

She's totally flirting with you. Pick it out of the toilet and draw a heart on her door with it. Use your thumbs for bigger imprints

She's a fecal exhibitionist. She is trying to send you signals to find out if you are a scat lover too.

You should fish out the poo and put it on her bed.

Trust me your not the only one. A lot of other people have roomates that do even crazier things like pee in bed, never take a shower for weeks..eat expired food than throw up every where afterwards. Loll so consider yourself lucky :P

my brothers first roommate in college ate all my brother's food he bought and never cleaned his own dishes, and would let his gf shower in the bathroom, and she would never pick up her disgusting hair all over the tub.
ya it was hideous. my brother moved out within a week.

my mom does that too... ugh. Then the toilet starts growing things so I have to wash it constantly.

  • Well its pretty sad and pathetic to be potty-training a university room mate, but I'd keep on her just for your own sake, or move.

I guess every roommate *must* have some kind of problem. Having a normal roommate isn't normal lol

Ok, I used to not flush the toilet either until I was fourteen. It's something that I brought with me, because:
1.When I was little I was scared to death of loud thunderstorms, and there was a window which was always open in the bathroom.
    2. I used to be scared of really loud noises. Toilet flushes, to me, were very loud and it scared me a lot. Especially with that window. At night, it was unbearable especially with my crazy imagination.
    3. When I was little, my friend told me that if I flushed the toilet three times at midnight, some monster-ghost-girl would come into my room and kill ne (similar to bloody mary/chuckie)

All those three points of my early childhood have two things in common.
    -Fear
    -Childhood
Those are basically.. "Scars" which i lived with for so many years. When I was thirteen (2 years ago), I didn't believe in ghosts, monster-girls, etc. But I still didn't flush the toilet. Why? Because.. I simply.. forget. I wasn't used to it.All those years of not flushing sticks. I self-disciplined myself into flushing (you can try it on ur pal)and I finally got used to it up to my fourteenth birthday. :D

  • This might sound silly but has your friend been involved in a car accident. Someone I used to share with was in a minor car accident and wasnt hurt at all but after this a few habits started like eating very noisily and not showering regularly like they did before and letting the dog lick his plate clean and putting it in the cupboard as if it had been washed

O.o Hmm. I don't think she's been in any sort of accident. That does sound odd though.

Maybe its a habbit. People who have well water plumbing systems often do that to conserve water.

    On the other hand...

    Maybe she forgets...

Or she does it on purpose to see if you will do the same...
