I think he has excellent ideas and could be exactly what the U.S. needs. However, i don't believe he has the support to pull off the presidency.

If everyone who said "I like Ron Paul but he can't win so I won't vote for him" voted for him, he would win. Retards....

Nah, he just wants to go back to the Middle Ages level of public works and governance (except against outright stealing and violence), but lower taxes, so the wages can be lowered until workers are just as poor, and the rich can now afford more Ferarris.

he's definitely the smartest candidate on that side of the aisle, but he would never win the election because he isn't bought out enough by the companies that pocket the wallet of the country.

I disagree with about 50% of his views (LONG COMMENT).

    CONS OF RON PAUL:

ABORTION: Wants to end abortion rights; removing abortion from federal court jurisdiction, allowing each state to decide abortion legality. Bad enough as this is alone, Ron Paul is also pushing for a Sanctity of Life Act, which federally mandates that life begins at conception. Therefore, it would not matter whether a state wants to allow abortion or not, as fetuses will be regarded as fully-fledged US citizens and therefore abortion at any stage would be equated to murder.

SOCIAL SAFETY NETS: Doesn't believe in Medicare or Social Security, deems them socialistic.

FOOD/DRINK REGULATION: Opposes common sense FDA regulations. Eg. against bans of deadly/dangerous food products such as raw milk which can contain deadly bactera such as salmonella, E. coli and Listeria.

SEXUALITY: Believes that state governments should be able to regulate citizens' sexuality. Personally aposes sodomy laws, but thinks states have the right to make them.
    ______________________________________________________

    PROS OF RON PAUL:

NDAA: Opposes NDAA, deems it as unconstitutional and destructive of Americans' freedom and right to trial before imprisonment.

SOPA: Opposed SOPA, deems it is as unconstituional and restrictive of Americans' freedom (to access information and also to exercise their freedom of speech right).

FOREIGN POLICY: Opposes war in all previous cases and wants radical reform of US foreign policy including more stringent rules on when the US military should be allowed to deploy to other countries for battle.

DRUGS: Wants decrease in mandatory minimum sentences, thinks current non-violent drug users in incarceration should be discharged and in future cases non-violent drug users should not be detained. Wants legalisation of drugs and decriminalisation of drug users.

FEDERAL RESERVE: Wants to shut it down!

SO, would I vote for him if I lived in the US, very possibly. Compared to all the other candidates he has a lot more positives! However, are these positives worth having the negatives? Personally I think that's someone all potential Ron Paul voters should consider.

You forget sir that Ron Paul understands that the federal government can't mess with the issue of abortion that is a reserved power of the state. Ron Paul in essence his view is this, do what you want but do not hurt me or others in the process. This is especially so in marijuana's case. If you vote for any other candidate you are going to get the same shit just a different asshole. Plain and simple.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Ron Paul is a converted racist. I like that he converted...which means that he admitted to it and then changed publically. His foreign policy views reflect this. He's kind of a nut though on other points so he'll never have enough support

First, im an atheist, and the antichrist is just a tool invented by christians to use against people in power
Second, its wierd. Im almost gonna regret not voting for him because i like about 75% of his views, but the 25% that i dont like is just so bad that i just couldn't vote for him

Christians were a tiny persecuted minority when the Antichrist was invented (about the year 90 or 96, by an old man who was exiled to a small island for much of his life). If the concept has been useful in that manner, then it's only accidental. And he's probably just joking about the AC thing. Besides, the sources say that the AC will rule the world and Ron Paul looks to have about as much chance of doing that before he dies as Oprah does of being Earth Empress.

He wants equality around the world. which is great and all but, there are some crazy political leaders who dont need nuclear arms. Not saying the USA or anyone else needs them either, but when they are already sounding threatening and singing songs about killing other civilians in other nations (N. Korea) they don't need more power such as this. But, I'm new to politics so it is very possible that I have a noobie outlook. But just doesn't seem right to me. I'm actually wanting Santorum to win this election. Im not too fond of any of the candidates this election but santorum and I agree on most things.
