    I agree. I really liked Ron Paul and I know most others did too. He was the president USA needed and I really hope he tries again because I usually do not agree with either party.
    I have heard his son may run in 2016. I do not know much anout him but I will likely be supporting him if he has similar poilcies.

      It's a shame he's probably too old to stand again - he'll be 80 next year! I like the guy, although I'm not American, but could an 80+ year-old deal with the intense schedule and demand that comes with being the president of the US?

      I'm pretty sure his son Rand is a Republican, rather than a Libertarian.

        Rand is a RINO. Republican in name only. He is pretty similar to his father. The only thing that shits me about the pauls is the anti abortion stuff.

          I don't think anybody will ever agree with another person %100. Presidents dont get to change whatever they want so it would be unlikely for him to ban abortion.
          I also disagreed with some of his healthcare views because I am not sure how the elderly and disabled would be taken care of if the government did not help. Some people do not have families, so this would make the homeless problem worse.
          Fortunately medicare and social security are unlikely to change. I dont agree with him %100 but I would say I agree with him about %75 while I agreed with other canidates about %25. %75 is close enough for me and still better than any other option.

          Agreed - but am I right in thinking that Ron Paul said his anti-abortion stance is purely personal? I thought he made reassurances that, if he were elected, his personal stance wouldn't influence abortion laws? May have misremembered.

            It's quite possible. We have had a lot of anti abortion presidents but it has always been legal, well since it was legalized. Pauls still be the hell out of any mainstream politicians.
