Every music is suffering under the same problem. 1998 was the last good year for all genres. Metallica sucks now in the same amount as Jay-Z. There are too few good new artists in all genres and the music industry is bloated under the weight of their money-hungry stars (I'm looking at you Reznor and Diddy) trying to stifle new methods of delivery for an extra dollar in their pocket.

Give me Aesop Rock (NY rapper of Weather Underground), Ludicra (SF metal), The Coup (rap), and A Life Once Lost (Philly Metal) and I'll be happy; these are blue collar bards in the tradition of Waits, Dylan, DMC, and Pac.

In my opinion i think lot of music these days has changed lot. I love the music from back in the '90s. Rap music lately are starting to suck....lol I listen to rock & rap music alot more than country :)
