      This. I'm polite to almost everyone. I'll even be civil to some people I don't think deserve my respect, but there are some whose actions or words are just so far beyond fucked that I think, fuck it, why should I give them the respect they clearly don't have for other people?

    Aretha Franklin. The bonus question is tough. I think no - it's tempting to say that the kids today are more disrespectful (or whatever), but I think it always looks like that... so there's probably not a huge difference between generations in general (not that I'm part of "the kids" generation).
    I agree with charli.m and kingofcarrotflowers, so I'd say I'm a 'bit of a C'. :D
