I'm terrible at names. I don't just NOT remember it, I never even heard the person say it in the first place. It never registered at all.

I think it's because I simply don't give a fuck what their name is. I don't need that useless information taking up space in my brain so I don't even bother to acknowledge it.

What about you guys? How are you at remembering names? I used to try to improve my name remembering skills but I finally figured out that there's no cure for 'don't give a fuck'.

    I'm excellent at remembering names.
    Or at least names out of a textbook.
    I've never gotten below a 100 on an identification test in mythology, I just remember all the names so well.

    I'm terrible with names. People usually end up with descriptive nicknames... which they don't always appreciate.

    I'm so nervous meeting new people that I have a really hard time remembering their names. I'm too busy concentrating on arranging my face correctly and making the right sounds come out of my mouth.

    I almost always remember. You never know if you will become friends with the person or have to deal with them in the future. I cannot imagine that remembering names will take up room in my memory bank. You do realize that we have "great" minds?

    I also don't seem to ''hear'' when people say their names... and i don't pay attention to a lot of movie character's names either. I just refer to them as something like 'the fat guy' or 'that weird kid'

    I'm sort of like that. Someone will introduce themselves to me and I know they just told me their name but I'll have no idea what it was two seconds later. I won't remember it anyway unless I see them several times in a short period of time with the name said each time. But if they say their birthday, I'll remember that. Silly. Or if I always see someone in the same setting, I won't be able to place them if i see them somewhere else. Like I know I know that person but who the fuck is it?? That's my story.
