Remeber everything, like an obsession

I remember just about everything about anyone. Birthdays, middle names, where I met them, stories they tell me, everything.
Obviously it happens with people I like or are friends with but now I just remember everything.
It makes me look like a stacker.

Does anyone else remember everyone's birthday or other weird facts? Is this at all normal?

  • yeah like I still remember what my friend and teacher wore on the first day of first grade...and I'm a sophomore in college now. I also remember most of the conversations that I've had with people. I try not to show because it's weird when people remember EVERYTHING you tell them

I remeber so much rubbish, and the worst part is, when I remind someone of something they said, they never recall it and say i'm lying or something.

It's so annoying but I guess it has it's positive sides, it's something unique I guess. Wouldn't life be boring if we we're all the same

Yeah I do this. It's particularly bad when you meet a person you've met once before and they can't remember your name or sometimes having met you yet you can remember everything about them. I've learnt that most people don't have this sort of memory so I act like I'm the same but secretly I have this store of information that one day I will use to my advantage...

I think that's very cool. I'm forgetful (I even forget my best friends' birthdays!), so I'm always envious of people with a strong memory.

    Yes!

I think I've lost some of this ability due to repressing it thinking it wasn't normal, but yeah..
Birthdays, middle names, conversations.. I even remember the typos people make in online conversations. If I'm given the information, I remember it. I remember all my birthday parties. I even remember the entire phone number of a girl I was best friends with when I was little and haven't phoned for about 8 years o_O

Then I have friends who have known me for years who have had to ask me when my birthday was several times each year... I think *they* are the weird ones, personally :)

But I'm no good at remembering homework or what to bring into college ¬_¬

I can't remember everything but I remember word for word conversations and hand emotions people make when they say things.

I think it is normal, and its a lucky trait to have.
