I have feelings to an Arabic guy in my class. He is very good looking, have a great personality, and he is very clever. Btw, I was shocked when I knew that he is Arabic. He has a scholarship from his country at the university because he got very high grades in high school. He always says that he hates ISIS and all terrorist activities. I discovered also that he has a different doctrine than most of other Muslims as he is Shiite. I researched about them and I found that they are hated by other Muslims also, and ISIS considered them as non-Muslims. I visited his place and he treated me like a queen, I was afraid at the beginning, but he never even touched me (if I don't). He never had sex or GF before. I am texting him daily now and see him regularly. His birthday is next week shall I make a surprise for him and tell him that I am in love with him? any ideas or warnings?! (I am Norwegian btw) is it normal to have relationship with Muslim while your are not?

    Try to talk to him often. Conversations will let you know what he values in his life or his ideas.

    As bad as this is, I always think of that movie, 'Not Without my Daughter,' when the topic of dating Arabic men comes up. Not saying that you shouldn't date the guy, but terrorism maybe the least of your worries. Learn more about his culture and what he values.

    As for the gift, get him something thoughtful. It could be something he was looking to buy, but never got around to it or something related to his major. Or you can make him something.
