Relationship age-gap concerns

Hey guys, need advice hither!
Last year in my then-current job, a new girl started and we became friends. Soon we became close but nothing too much until I left the shop. Being a Supervisor at the time, it was inappropriate
I moved abroad for 3 months, came back and kick-started the closeness again, now I am a manager elsewhere
Problem is i'm 23, 24 late July, and her 17th birthday has only just gone back in Feb. I'm reluctant to take it further, solely because of the age. It just feels weird?

Age gaps are always a weird area when you are young. It's not that big of a gap though. In another year she'll be 18 and you'll be 25. which is perfectly normal/acceptable.

It is normal to be attracted to sexually mature members of the opposite sex; however, society at large has deemed these relationships with underage members as "inappropriate." You'll go to jail! If it means that much to you, then wait.

Forget about her age. You are not taking her age out on a date, but the girl herself.

strange you wouldn't bat at eye lid at 30 and 37 .that only lasts one year .if they stay together that will happen just for one year .7 years is a small gap I think you limit your options looking for someone the same age as you .

23-24 is not old, however, her age is just so young. The age gap is sizable given how young you both are. I wouldn't bat an eye at a couple who was 30 and 37, but it gets tricky as you get younger. If it makes you feel better, it's not illegal.

I know the whole "age doesn't matter" thing...but lots of changes happen from about 17-22ish give or take. I think closer to your age when you're entering adulthood is better and more compatible but everyone is different of course! Good luck!

Age is just a number. Are you going to let a number tell you that you can't love someone?.
