Reject/accept is it normal gold gifts?

Should there be an "accept/reject" option when someone gifts you is it normal gold? Just so you know, I was gifted is it normal gold before, so I am speaking from personal experience here, and not at all trying to be unappreciative or anything like that. I made absolutely sure the gifts I was given did not go to waste!

Not to be rude or anything, but what if that person doesn't want the gold subscription for some legitimate reason? Wouldn't it make sense for them to be able to say "no thank you," or "I would, but I don't have enough time here because of my job, but I appreciate the sentiment SO much!" Or "thanks, but this is unnecessary, because someone else already got it for me!" I could go on, but I think you get what I mean. Of course, it might seem like a slap in the face also, but at least the gift-giver would have a chance to give it to someone else that might utilize it better or something. Know what I mean?

Again, it may seem rude, but some people might have good reasons for not wanting the gold and should be able to politely decline the gift if they so choose. What do you think?

I just gave someone IIN Gold today and now I feel awkward, what if they didn't want it?

I was given it once. I sadly never got to know who gave it to me, though:/ Thank you anyway, anon benefactor:)

I would be grateful to receive it and take it as a gesture of kindness. The idea Terry brought up puts more into consideration. The idea of storing it until the appropriate time is handy. Rejection if you have a legitimate reason would be nice too, but how do you kindly reject someone with out them being offended?

I've wanted to give people gold but not done it precisely for this reason. Though now some lovely person has gifted me (very unexpectedly) I feel a bit guilty not doing the same. But then I've always felt difficult receiving things.
