Regret or relief after encountering an ex?

Have you ever found out information about an old ex that either made you have regret or relief that the person is your ex? I'll share an example of each to start.

I dated a girl in high school most of my senior year. We went separate ways after high school. Several years later I saw her pictures and an article about her online, she was a model. She was drop dead gorgeous and had a killer body. And in the interview sounded like a great person with a nice family.

An ex-gf from years earlier started showing up at the same parties I was going to for a while. She was snooty and rude to people and seemed to hen-peck her then husband. Plus she had gone from attractive and shapely to unattractive and heavy.

You got any stories?

Regret - wish I was still with that ex 3
Relief - so glad the ex is in the past 9

    I've never felt much in regards to either. The best revenge is living well but the need to impress others, especially past loves, suggest you never really got over whatever happened between the two of you.

    Run into an ex that is now fat, has two kids, a heroin problem as well as an alcohol one, oh and herps probably. So yeah, it's safe to say I regret leaving her fat ass lol.

    Both my sister and a new girlfriend of mine say in regards to my second ex husband, "you dodged a bullet", and yes, I believe them wholeheartedly!
