I guess 500-1000, but it would suck if I got there and the human race had been wiped out though.

Go just a few months into the future, gather all the lottery numbers up to that time for Mega Millions and Powerball, go back to your time after 48 hours are up...Profit..

I'd travel to the time when man discovers the Force and the epic struggle between the Jedi Knights and the Sith begin.

I personaly would go back in time to new York in the thirties, but I gues to go forward I would go 987 years to the year 2999 and ring in the new melinium (Y3K)

Since you have no idea when you will die, going into the future will be too risky. One second too far and you are dead, never to return. No second chances there....because you can't go where you don't exist.

Instead I would go into the past and warn myself of future events as well as inform myself of future events that I could benefit from. After that I would go back to my own time and reap the benefits of my future informed / past self.

If you're going to time travel you might as well have fun.

Although what matters more to me isn't how far I go but HOW I get there... and it better damn well be in a blue police call box. :)

You actually can go "into the future" by use of time dilation. The only catch is that you can't come back because of the "arrow of time".

Most scientists only give humanity a 50/50 chance of not destroying themselves within 250 years, so I'd either choose a short hop (25 years or so) or a very long hop (a million years) and hope there's a breathable atmosphere then.

  • Qualify this offer. Do you mean go into the future and not come back? Go into the future and know what I know now or magically arrive with "X" amount of years of skill, knowledge, and positive results.. Or go into the future and just be "X" amount of time older?

What is the point of going into the future, exactly? I think you meant go into the past... That's the only way to win the "PowerBall", take advantage of the Internet Bubble, etcetera...

    • You will be "you" at your current age and you can look around at whatever you want. You cannot use or pass on any information. Meaning you can't warn anyone, you can't use information to profit, etc. You will know what you saw but you will not be able to communicate it in any manner.

What's the point? I don't know, to look around. If you wouldn't want to, that's why I included the choice "I wouldn't go".

I don't mean go into the past, I mean go into the future. If I menat past, I would've said past.

  • ADDITION: You cannot use any information you gain to change any events.

10 years ago. Warn loved ones of illnesses or fatal accidents.
