Is it normal to let a guy pay (or fully pay) for something without feeling rediculously guilty? Everytime I'm on a date I know it's "the guys job" to pay for stuff and etc... But I can't let a guy fully pay. I'll feel really guilty. I don't want the guy to feel as if I'm just using him for his $ (which I'm not). I usually put up a fight to offer money. I feel as if I have to pay for something even if it's something really expensive or something really small. I don't care what it is just let me pay for something. Is this normal?? (btw I'm a girl, duh)

I'm pretty much the same way as you. My now husband and I started alternating who pays when we go out back when we first started dating. It worked for us.

What you could do is offer to pay the tip on dates where the guy wants to pay.

It's totally normal. I am the same way and for the same reasons... I don't want anyone to feel like I used them for the $$$

  • Don't feel bad... I'm a guy and I'd get pissed if she took the bill

I get the same way, too. Because if they pay for me, I always wind up feeling like I "owe" them something, whether it be like sex, or a relationship. Which btw, I don't do any of those things, but that's how I feel. That, or you feel forced to go on another date with them and pay for the bill next time!

I always just try to split down the middle... :(
