Real life office space
If you're familiar with the movie "Office Space," that's prett much my life. Let me explain. I work in an office (in a cubicle) with a bunch of other people. I am a hard worker (always have been). I go above and beyond the requirements, and I always get the work done. I would say I'm one of their best employees.
Well this makes other people jealous. Therefore they are trying to find ways to get me fired. I'm also a young female, so I'm sure some of the older ones are jealous of my looks too.
My boss has called me into her office several times. It's really annoying. The most recent was because I'm on my phone too much, texting too much, and on the Internet too much. And my coworkers are complaining.
Well let's look at the other people in the office. Hmmm. They all talk to eachother, they chat on the phone with friends, and they send e-mail jokes back and forth. Imagine!
Yet I'm the one who's singled out. It friggin sucks. I'm looking for another job because I don't know how much more I can. I wish people would just leave me alone. I always get the job done, so screw off.
People don't like the fact that I can multi-task. Well I feel like a machine. I'm good at what I do, and I can do more than one things at a time. That's just the way I am.
So to quote Peter from Office Space, "Every day is the worst day of my life."
There. I had to get this off my chest.
Is it normal to get picked on so much at work?
