Rather have h1n1 than work

I know this is gonna sound weird, but hear me out.

I've been off work for a couple weeks since I was sick with H1N1/swine flu. I got REALLY sick and felt like I was gonna die, but here's where it gets weird...

I enjoyed being home, even if I was sick the entire time. I mean I loved it. I don't ever want to go back to work again.

What I'm trying to say is I'd rather have the swine flu than go back to work. Does this sound totally crazy to you? I guess it just goes to show you how much I hate work!

I am a workaholic, by the way.

Is is normal to think this way?

  • Could be that - as a workaholic - you needed the time out a lot more than you realized. Maybe you need a new job, as suggested above. But maybe you just need a better balance between work and the rest of your life. Or both.

  • Actually I am a workaholic - not because I WANT to be working all the time, but because I HAVE to. By this I mean the bills must be paid, so in order to do so, I have to work an insane amount of hours. It's not fun, but it has to be done. The worst of it is, the government takes so much of my cheque... and for what? Nothing that seems to benefit me! Sure seems like I'm helping the Welfare bums though.

lol yeah you don't sound like a workaholic.

you may have a passion for something that people get paid for but that's not your work

You need to find a job that you enjoy doing. I actually look forward to going to work every day. I work 5 and a half days at the office, and a lot more mental work in outside these hours, but I thrive on it. You, too, can feel like this in the right job. Good luck!

  • Yeah I really hate my friggin job. I want a better one. Been looking for a loooooong time and have been applying everywhere, but so far no dice. Thinking about taking a night course through college. I really need to change my life.

  • Swine flu wasn't as bad for me it seems like. Which is odd because Multiple Sclerosis will truly screw me up. Don't ask me to explain, look up an MS attack to understand.

Swine flu wasn't so bad for me, all I mostly did was sleep. However, look up Vertigo online and prepared to be scared. No job is so bad you would rather have vertigo over.
