Rather be at home than out partying?! iin

Whether it be friends or close family members, I'm always getting invited to go out and party. I mean don't get me wrong it all sounds like fun in all but i'd rather much be at home doing my own thing(Relaxing, listening to music) im not much into the whole "Party Scene" so i guess you can say i always look for a reason to cancel on them.. I hate that it comes down to it but i just need to know IS IT NORMAL :O

Totally normal, I'd much rather be at home playing video games, listening to music and on the internet. It just depends on what you enjoy and what you don't, everybody's different. Unfortunately other people don't seem to understand this.

I used to prefer staying at home rather than going to parties, but around the time I turned 20 I started enjoying them more. You get to meet some cool new people (and some duds too), but you never know when making a new friend or acquaintance might be helpful. Its always good to network and know a lot of people.

man i'm 20 and the only parties i have ever been are my own birthday parties :P

no kiddin', its true. and since 14, i never had any birthday party, so say, for the last 6 years i haven't partied.

i hate having to have fake smiling/grinning faces all the time to seem pleasant to the guests and hosts of a party, be so fucking formal and 'behaving'

my definition of a party is a few close friends (like those with whom i can say a sentence full of cuss words and they won't bother no shit about it, but not that i say cuss words a lot, just giving an example), a few beers or soft drink and a movie or an outing to .. wherever the fuck the friend with the car goes

a recent example of why i hate to party:
i'm in my last year of college. and my classmates decided to have this 'party' exclusively for our class, as a final sort of thing, because after college everyone would be alone and somewhere else etc..
but i didn't wanna go. I mean i barely speak two words to most of them during classes themselves, then what the hell will I goto the party for? And that too when they're charging $15 per head. lol

party by my definition is where you can enjoy socially with others and have a good time, not pretend it.

so there you go mate! its normal! atleast i think it is. the party animals won't, but fuck 'em, they don't pay for our life's bills

oh its totally normal man, i like to party sometimes like on occasion but most of the time, i like to just chill at my house and watch movies. just get out at least a couple times a month, you know just so people don't start riding you about how they think that you're depressed.

I think I would enjoy parties more if I didn't feel like everyone thinks i'm 12 cuz then nobody ever wants to talk to me, they just look at me awkwardly.

I'm the same way and often get made fun of for it but I'd rather just go to a movie or be at home than at a party.
