Rarely brushing...

I brush my teeth about once a week. I just really don't like brushing. I have never had a cavity, nor do I have bad-breath (been told so by multiple people, including g/f's). Is it normal?

  • I don't enjoy brushing either but I do it because I don't want my teeth to fall out.

Gross. I love oral hygiene. Flossing is always the highlight of my morning routine.

You must be young for you not to have a problem with your teeth with this kind of hygiene. Dont worry one day you'll regret your poor choices.

My brother is like this. It drives me crazy because his breath never smells bad and I brush regularly and have to fight mine from smelling and he's never had a cavity and I've had two. His teeth are really yellow and sometimes you can see the plaque buildup though and mine are fairly white and ive gotten compliments on them before.

  • My grandfather never brushed or saw dentist in his life. He died in his 90's with every tooth still in his head.

No kidding! I love brushing! I love the feeling of clean teeth! You really need to brush your teeth! Go to the mall and search for the teeth products. You can choose a lot of products and it's fun to try new toothpaste and brushers! BTW: i think that i'm crazy because i love to go to the dentist!

I brush mine very rarely, only when I've eaten something sugary, or had something like milk or yogurt. However I eat very little sugars and acidic foods, and constantly drink (rinse with) water

That is downright repugnant, but if you've read any of my posts, you'd understand.

Sure...taking a shower daily isn't imperative, unless you work around raw sewage everyday, but brushing your teeth is actually very different, like, seriously, who cares if you don't get cavities, or aren;'t normally prone to it, if you keep that up, you won't be able to say that, there are a lot of germs, most can cause gingivitis and even serious infections, don't be grody, at least do it everyday or every other day, yikes.

It's normal to not like to brush your teeth, but still very gross. I don't really like brushing my teeth either, but that's because the feeling of the bristles dragging over my teeth grosses me out.

You can go without a shower for a week, but brushing teeth? No way. At least brush once a day, or you'll end up with gum diseases and rotten teeth from the massive amount of bacteria you compiled by not brushing your teeth.

You WILL be sorry, no ifs ands or buts about it. It's soooo much easier to prevent dental problems than to repair them!! Look up the price of a filling, a single root canal or partial dentures....the cost is staggering. Not to mention the pain. And likely by that time you'll be so embarrassed or scared to go to the dentist you'll end up with a mouthful of painful rotten teeth. Is it so hard to brush for 2 minutes twice a day?? Go get a cleaning and check-up once a year at least, whether you brush or not.
