I would ignore them. To confront them would only cause problems. It's unlikely you'd have any kind of lengthy worthwhile conversation that would change their mind. That is my Euorean version.

In my American version, I would call them out on being fucktards. I would fear not because the Glock in my pocket would be aimed at their crotch the whole time.

SARCASM!!! No, seriously. Think of a point, and display it as sarcastically as possible, with no little to differentiation from your normal tone. IF they suddenly understand that you are being sarcastic, you may realize that they are worth the attention. And, if not, you've managed to make your point to anyone smarter than them whilst not offending them because of their ignorance.

You should have punched one of them really hard in the middle of the face, then casually walked off the train. Racism really does agitate me.

As a Jew i always feel a bit awkward with issues like this. On the one hand, I very much dislike certain groups of people such as blacks for example. I think they cause a lot of problems and generally speaking we would do much better in society without them.

On the other hand, my grandparents escaped Nazi Germany and their families were murdered in cold blood by the Nazis. Literally taken outside of their homes, told to strip naked, and shot to death. For no reason at all. They were good people but just because they were Jews the Germans murdered them along with millions of others.

So no matter how much I dislike someone, I would never go around saying they need to be shot or murdered or whatever. But I can understand how some people are really bothered by a certain group of people.

I do not claim to have the perfect solution, but I think it is probably best to allow free speech and discussion to take place so that angers and grievances may be heard, debated publicly, and possibly channeled into something constructive and good.

When people start making serious threats though, or actually committing senseless crimes against others, we all need to speak up loudly at the first possible opportunity otherwise that kind of behavior may spread all too quickly

When dick heads like that are performing, they want attention. The best thing one can do is ignore them and they eventually get tired of blathering on and on, showing their fucking ignorance. Nothing feels stupider than performing for a crowd that ignores you.

I was in pretty much this situation once many years ago and I did nothing. It was only one bloke, a very drunk vietnam vet, verbally abusing a young asian man for reading a newspaper in his own language.

The train was fairly packed but no-one did anything until a couple of respectably dressed young blokes stood over the racist and told him to shut up. They must've called cops because he was taken off the train at the next station.

I can remember feeling ill that I wasn't brave enough to do anything and thinking that this was what happened to jews in the streets of germany and no-one did anything. I'm female by the way, and not good at physical confrontation, but I still regret I couldn't think of anything to do that evening because of my fear the drunk would turn on me
