Racism sucks

I hate people who are racist!

Black, white, Asian, native I don't see the perspective like this. No instead all I see are human beings being taught racism is ok. It's not at all by the way! It isolates and creates a diversion around all of us.

This is why Lion King 2 is my favorite Disney movie. The movies lesson is accept lions as lions; in this case, accepting others as fellow humans.

I may not judge by color, gender, sexuality, religion, or culture. I do however, judge based if someone is kind or a complete asshole. Is anyone with me on this?

Honestly, I'm more sick of the people shouting racism when the wind blows. Racism is clearly bad though, but there's not even a horse left to beat at this point.

Lion king was pretty racist. I mean the hyenas were automatically bad just for being hyenas.

Yeah I mean it's the "circle of life" yet the hyenas are just up and taken out of the equation. Young me hated that contradiction.

I remember I used to watch that Brian Jaques Redwall show when I was a kid and everybody said he was a racist because you can tell the moral alignment of the characters based off what kind of animal they are. Disney got a pass on that with lion king.

When I voted normal, I meant that your views are normal, not that racism is normal.

Some religions, cultures, and the made-up genders are perfectly worthy of judgement.

We’re humans. We judge everything. I think racism is more of a hatred than judgment.

It's more of a genetic predisposition to dislike someone different from your tribe.

You can change opinions of an individual but that individual usually has a reason for the hatred. At least arguing that some of what they heard isnt that bad is a forward step in decreasing racism in general.

What I hate is this new age racism under the banner of intersectionality yes you can be racist to white people.

I clearly meant to judge without knowing ones religious beliefs. If someone believes in Christianity for example and racism is required; I will not support that.

Saying "I may not judge by color, gender, sexuality, religion, or culture." heavily implies that you know their race, gender, sexuality, religious beliefs, and culture.

The whole concept of racism is childish to me. Treating people differently based on their religion, race, or creed. Like what the hell?!

    People are different.
    Who cares?
    No-one. Get over yourself!

Racism, like homophobia, really isn’t a big thing today compared to when I was young and even further back. Everybody spoke like a racist, sexist, homophobic psychopath twenty years ago.

The “I’m offended” generation are a bit late to the party, you have no idea what you’re even complaining about. You wouldn’t even have survived high school.

The new normal is, seeing everyone as equal is racist.

Not everyone is equal though..... Mean people have less value than those who are kind.

Or that's what I keep telling myself. It's sad to see ignorance being rewarded and being kind is something to take advantage of.

      • In a certain sense, bad people provide value in being able to define what good people are. How could you be good without a bad person to compare? It's like how you can't tell what's up or down if you float in space long enough, you gotta have that grounding perspective

Changed it because I felt someone could take it out of hand ( I don't want that to happen ).

Maybe it was the wrong word to use.

But you get what I am actually trying to say though.

I have some progressive ideas for combating racism: ban ppl from addressing oneself and one another by race. There are no black or white ppl. Just ppl. Anyone who uses such a label shall be branded racist with all the consequences plus a heavy fine. Obviously, racist groups such as BLM shall change their name and agenda to something more inclusive or be disbanded.
Promote interracial mating - interracial couples shall be entitled to tax exemptions and other social benefits. In a generation racism will be virtually extinct. Too bad cowardly, irresponsible politicians won't do that.

    I hate them too.

I've experienced a lot of racism in my life, as I'm half Cree, Half Sicilian.

Not a good feeling at all.
