Quick question

Okay, this is sort of odd according to my friends etc. I am a teenager, and i am not really a big book reader, but that seems pretty normal among teens. I am wondering if you guys (and girls) think that it is weird that I hate shopping...with a passion, it makes me sick. I don't mean sick like when you say "the killing of duh da duh just makes me sick!" i mean that when i am in a store for a a certain amount of time i start getting a headache, and eventually i get a stomach ache (i think that is from the headache i get though). And it isn't like i grew up around people who hate shopping, it is especially weird because i like to stay "in fashion" and never wear things like pjs or sweats to school, or out, not even to the market. (the rest of my family that i hang around with love shopping)

I don't know, what do you think...is this normal??

  • After shopping my feet are killing me and I just wanna sit down and I get a headache. but I still like shopping cuz I like getting new stuff. I have to drink a lot of water and wear comfy shoes to avoid it. my advice is to have a ritual like mine to avoid feeling sick after and you'll find that shopping is actually pretty fun, good luck!

Lighting in stores is usually the cheapest and most harsh and could trigger migraine headaches and the ensuing gut churn - and the air quality can suck too. Maybe smaller stores in a downtown boutiquey area would be ok. That way you're inside and outside while you shop.... window shop, RUN IN and purchase and get out. lol

Yeah it might just be the conditions or the smells in the stores.
like my mom is allergic to mildew and dust, and a lot of stores have at least one in them. Then she does not want to shop there anymore. Or it may just be you have a problem with crowds, and are having your body present a physical manifestation of that dislike so that you avoid being in groups like that.

It is normal as long as you are happy. IF you hate shopping and don't like going to parties, than just find other things that you do like to do. IF you feel unhappy and not normal, and want to change, than find ways to make these activities more fun for you. but always remember, always be yourself. do not change who you are or pretend you like something when you don't just to fit in better. people you can't be yourself around are not your true friends.

  • I also forgot to mention that i hate going to parties, and big social events, but i think that is cleared since i grew up with my mom (like by that i mean my dad sucks, and is a crappy father) and she isn't big on those things, but most of the time if i am forced into that situation, i can have an okay time..so once again feedback...please!

    And thanks!
